Fat

So, it has been a week of consistency.   I have been monitoring what I am eating.  I actually worked out on the Wii four times this last week and liked it!  Liked it except for the part where it calls me obese and the part where it said I lost a pound one day and gained 1.5 pounds the next.  I have decided that I need to take the Wii with a grain of salt, otherwise I will get mad and throw it through the window.

I have learned that although the calorie count is important, it also important that I balance the fat, carbs and proteins.  I have learned that if I don’t feed myself when I am hungry I get sluggish and slightly cranky.  According to Wendy Chant, author of the Fat Loss Code, “The body does not want to diet.” *1 Well, that is one thing my mind and my body have in common.  But my mind also wants my body to be healthy.  It wants my feet to stop hurting when I work and my knees to stop cracking when I do the Hula Hoop on the Wii.  Whether my body wants to diet or not, it feels better when I have less pounds weighing it down.

“Your body needs food to survive. In fact, your body always thinks the last thing you ate is the last thing you’ll ever eat.” Wendy Chant *2  This statement is always in my mind because if I don’t feed my body, it goes into panic mode.  That is to say, it starts storing the fat for future use.  Not good!  Stored fat means tight clothes.  It means less energy and more strain on my body.

This coming week, I am going to listen to what my body is telling me and pay attention to what I feed it.

  • Cheri’s Rule #1 – do not weigh yourself every day. Weigh yourself once a week. Weight fluctuates too much and seeing it yo-yo throught the week (or even throughout the day) can be disheartening. Try and weigh yourself at the same time on the same day each week. Keep up the good work girlfriend!
