Fat

I am what society deems as fat.  That is to say, I am heavier than I should be for my height.  I do not believe that I am fat.  I believe that I have fat. Sometimes too much fat according to the tightness of my jeans.

I have done the research on fat; what is good fat… polyunsaturated fat, monounsaturated fat.  What is the so called bad fat… saturated fat and the infamous trans fat.  I have done the research and look at the food labels with such enthusiasm that people get irritated in the isle waiting for me to move.  Has any of this education helped me not be ”fat”?  Nope.  I have to tell you, I love fat.  I love butter, milk and cheese.  I love olive oil, peanuts and ice cream.  I even say yes to fish sometimes.  The fat I consume does not make me fat, what makes me ‘fat’ is that I consume too much in general and don’t like to sweat.

I recently bought a book called Crack the Fat Loss Code by Wendy Chant (check it out on our Recommendations page) and have been intrigued by the science.  I have also joined the website My Fitness Pal.  It is a free website that helps you track your food intake and exercise information.  I have decided this is the way to go as I have a tiny issue with people or books telling me what to do.  I am starting with high protein and low carbs, more fruits and veggies and a high quality supplement.  We will see and stay tuned.

  • YAY! I am so happy for you!! You will love myfitnesspal.com. Ok, at first you’ll hate it just because you are now aware of everything you eat, but when you start to notice clothes fitting a little bit better, you’ll actually like it. Good luck girlfriend! I love you and know you can do this!!!
