Have a Snack!

As the holidays approach and the stress level gets higher, here is a few foods that can help you manage stress and curb your appetite.

Nuts and Whole Grains contain Zinc, Copper and Omega 3’s.  They can improve your mood, decrease your anxiety and give you that boost of energy you need to keep on moving on.  Other good sources of Zinc, Copper and Omega 3’s are avocados, chicken and beans, but for a quick on the go snack, walnuts, cashews and almonds are good to have near you.

Bananas are another good snack to give a punch to your day.  They have Vitamin B6 which, if too low, can cause depression and a weak immune system.  Other sources of Vitamin B6 are turkey, salmon and spinach.

If you are feeling run down or over stressed, consider food as a possible remedy.
