Thinking positively can be difficult at times. My former manager told me think “how” instead of “what if”. I think this is a great example of how to think positively. It eliminates the thought of failure from your head and provides the ideal mindset to get things done.
For example, if i wanted to get this post done but the only thoughts in my head are “What if something comes up?” or “What if this post does not get read?” etc. then i have set my self up for these things to happen. However, if i think in how instead, i will always succeed.
By saying “How can i get this post done?” that ensures that i have the time set aside to do it, or by saying “How do get this post to be read?” this causes me to be more aware of what i am writing and the topic of my writing. So to all you out there thinking in what-ifs, you are only doing yourself a disservice.
