Spread the love

“Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born.”
– Anais Nin

Friendship may seem like it does not fit into the Health Now Wealth Forever mantra but surrounding yourself with people that lift you up, ground you and inspire you most definitely can change your perspective from negative to positive, change your health and affect your wealth.

The textbook definition of friendship is: A relationship between two people who hold mutual affection for each other. (1)  But what this definition does not encompass is what that mutual affection can affect.  We all know that friendship can come and go but if we look at past and current friendships, we know that each of those relationships brought us some measure of comfort and learning. The older I become, the more I treasure my friends and realize that the lessons I have learned from past friendships apply in my life and perspective every day.  In the past, I needed friends to help me figure out who I was, as the years went by some of those friends faded away but only because I or they had moved to a different stage in our lives. Yes, sometimes that is painful but in the end, we were friends for a reason and we all are hopefully better humans for it.

Surrounding ourselves with people that make us stronger, change your perspective and essentially become your family, not only make us better humans but help us live a more fulfilled life.  In times of strength, weakness, love and sadness, allowing our friends to help us, teach us and love us for who we are makes us healthier, wealthier and wiser!
