Just Be Glad

Christian D. Larson (1874-1954) wrote several books and has been quoted in The Secret.  What he has to say in these two excerpts especially hit home for me these last two days.

“Whatever you are, or whatever has happened, just be glad.  Be glad because you are here.  You are here in a beautiful world; and all that is beautiful may be found in this world . . .Just be glad, and you  always will be glad.  You will always have better reason to be glad.  You will have more and more things to make you glad.  For great is the power of sunshine, especially human sunshine.   It can change anything, transform anything, remake anything, and cause anything to become as beautiful as itself.  Just be glad and your fate will change; a new life will begin and a new future will dawn for you.

Just Be Glad

And this:

“Resolve to remain as strong, as determined, and as highly enthused during the darkest night of adversity as you are during the sunniest day of prosperity.  Do not feel disappointed when things seem disappointing.  Keep the eye single upon the same brilliant future regardless of circumstances, conditions, or events.  Do not lose heart when things go wrong.  Continue undisturbed in your original resolve to make all things go right. . .

The man who never weakens when things are against him will grow stronger and stronger until all things will delight to be for him.  He will finally have all the strength he may desire or need.  Be always strong and you will always be stronger.”

Your Forces and How to Use Them

In an earlier post from Thain, he talks about when think about each and every step and how we are doing this, we can hardly walk—we falter.  When we get bogged down on how it all go and be bogged down in the thoughts of anger or what someone else is doing to us, we get bogged down.  I got caught and bogged down in anger again in a situation that had happen to us over a year ago and forgot to think about being glad about all the good things and the future of good to come.  Later in the day, I found that I had wasted a lot of energy being angry again—it made me tired and sensitive to every little negative thought taking my gladness away from the good of the day—the beauty of the day.  I am going to try very hard to be glad, to send the gladness to my environment, to live in the glad, to put strong in my environment and to know that my thoughts are what shape my day, my environment and all that comes to me during the day and night.

About Marilyn

I am a "retired senior" (I've been a school librarian and library tech for a government research facility) who is now pursuing a dream of a home business sewing bags of all sorts, crafting and being the creative person I have always wanted to be. I grew up in the center of Illinois and dreamed of actually living back in the state of Colorado where I was born and lived till the age of 7. That dream came true when I met my husband of 43 years while working together in Estes Park. I am interested in alternative medicine, continuing the good health I've always had, while returning to the pre-processed food era of: eating well, losing weight, and using products that do not harm the environment, me, my family and friends. I am for labeling GMO’s, using sustainable products, organics and finding solutions to everyday problems, like colds and sore muscles, using natural remedies. I have a positive attitude that has helped through a very hard year and will bring forth a life that will be full and happy. My family is wonderful and I am a happy lady, wife, mother, and grandma.
