One year to the big 4-0

Yesterday I turned 39.  I had the day to myself with the exception of 2 crazy dogs and it gave me a chance to look back on my years and count my blessings.  While some people lament on getting older, I have decided that the best is yet to come.  I am stronger and wiser.  I have surrounded myself with good, positive people and looking back on past relationships, good and bad, I have learned some valuable lessons.

Lesson 1: Be grateful, by being grateful for my life, my world.  I have been blessed with good things.  A great new job, wonderful friends and family and new adventures around the corner.

Lesson 2: Learn from mistakes. While this is difficult to do, it is definitely one of the greatest lessons to learn.  I firmly believe that when you learn from mistakes, you become a better person.

Lesson 3: Everything and everyone in my life is there for a reason.  It easy to discount the small things but if I hadn’t gotten my dog, taken him to the dog park then I would never had met my dear friend Kathy and been blessed with all of our adventures together.  Life has a way of putting events and people in our lives that teach us, love us and sometimes leave us but if we can look past the surface, we will be be surprised how much each person or event has enriched our lives.

Lesson 4: I am in control of myself, no one can make me feel anything I don’t want to feel.  It is easy to blame others but turning that towards myself was the hardest lesson to learn,  self control.

As I have one more year until 40, I treasure these lessons and approach new lessons with an open heart and head.

About Felicia

Hello, I am Felicia and I am one of the founding members of Health Now, Wealth Forever. When we came up with the concept of starting our family business, I was enthusiastic just to spend time working on a project with my family. But, as we have grown and expanded, my passion for educating myself and others - about alternative health options and changing the way we view finances and life - has taken over. While I admit I am not the healthiest of our group, I am working on it daily and hope that the articles I write help you to work on it with me. Thank you for supporting us and allowing us to open our minds and yours to an alternative way of look at health, wealth and life!
