Positive Thoughts in Discouraging Times

I was so discouraged reading my Facebook page today.  It just seems that one person cannot make a difference unless you are rich and then, maybe you might become one of the “bad guys”.

Government does not seem to care about the poor or middle class, even though they say so when they are running for office.  Instead of creating jobs, the governor of NC said he would do when running for the office, he has cut unemployment payments so that the people looking for a job (he was supposed to create),  will not just make it, but will be trying to survive. They will not be supporting the local businesses, since they have only enough money to bearly survive.  So how does this help the economy with the trickle down philosophy?

A farmer who is fighting Monsanto and has made it to the Supreme Court against the “Almighty God Monsanto”, probably doesn’t have much of a chance since Clarence Thomas, a former Monsanto lawyer, has not recused himself and most of government, including USDA and FDA do not care if the GMO food is full of toxins and pesticides.

These were just a few of the negatives that hit me this morning.  I think that I sometimes read too much negative—I need to read more of the positive.   I think that it is important to read about the problems, but lately I have been reading too many of the negative problems.  I am going to send out more positive thoughts but sign those petitions to let my elected officials know what I stand for.  I am going to balance the negative with the “ lol” comics and humor and positive thoughts and photos also found on Facebook.

About Marilyn

I am a "retired senior" (I've been a school librarian and library tech for a government research facility) who is now pursuing a dream of a home business sewing bags of all sorts, crafting and being the creative person I have always wanted to be. I grew up in the center of Illinois and dreamed of actually living back in the state of Colorado where I was born and lived till the age of 7. That dream came true when I met my husband of 43 years while working together in Estes Park. I am interested in alternative medicine, continuing the good health I've always had, while returning to the pre-processed food era of: eating well, losing weight, and using products that do not harm the environment, me, my family and friends. I am for labeling GMO’s, using sustainable products, organics and finding solutions to everyday problems, like colds and sore muscles, using natural remedies. I have a positive attitude that has helped through a very hard year and will bring forth a life that will be full and happy. My family is wonderful and I am a happy lady, wife, mother, and grandma.
