Relative Light

It often seems that our efforts to spread our light around are insignificant. That no one even notices our light. But have you checked how light your surroundings are? Is it daytime? It is hard to see a candle in the light of the sun. But if you place that candle in a dark room or the shade, it is suddenly brighter. A little light becomes a sun.

Many of us can’t see our contributions to brightening the world, because it is sunny outside. But to those living in the shade your light is very bright indeed. Remember: giving a little light to one living in the dark or dim is as good to them as shining the sun on those who live in the daylight.

Be someone’s sun for a while.

About Nathan

Hi! I am Nathan! So why am I here? That is my main question. I am fascinated by the current wave of science meeting with the philosophical questions throughout history. I am a Taoist and a disorganized dreamer who makes up new words to describe states of being and thought processes. I love to bring to you these simple yet powerful little inspirations and truths. I believe that each one of us is infinitely important and we are all connected. As Carl Sagan put it, “We are a way for the Cosmos to know itself.” We might be all connected, but you are still you. It is your perceptions that shape your reality. So join me in changing perceptions!
