Words are important. Ask any attorney, contract writer, book writer, marketing person and they will tell you that each word carries meaning and creates images. They will also tell you that the proper use of word and/or words can convey specific direction.
John 1:14 in the New Testament of the Bible states: “the word became flesh”.
As a Syrian enslaved in Italy during the first century B.C., Publilius Syrus wrote “Speech is the mirror of the soul; as a man speaks, so is he.”
Words have meaning and power. They create. Think about all of the books, speeches, plays, lyrics, poems, laws, philosophies that have been written that have created your world. We use words to talk to each other, to express ourselves, even to explain ourselves. We need to make our words accurate because they express our thoughts and beliefs, they define who we are.
We are defined by the words we use. We can change ourselves by choosing different words to use. Words are very powerful – spoken and/or written, they define who we are and where we are going.
How does this affect Wealth?
Are you on the path to be Poor, Average or Rich? If you aren’t sure, check the words that you are using.
- Poor Words
- “I don’t understand taxes”
- “I never can make ends meet.”
- “I need to live within my means.”
- “I’ll never be able to afford that.”
If you are using these words or similar words on a regular basis, then you are on the Path to being Poor.
- Financially Average Words
- “I can pay my bills but nothing is left for anything else.”
- “When I get a better paying job, I can afford that car.”
- “I have an extra $1,000. I need to put that in savings.”
- “I am upset with the performance of my stock investments.”
If you are using these words or similar words on a regular basis, then you are on the Path to being Financially Average.
- Wealth or Rich Words:
- “I am increasing my financial knowledge.”
- “What can I invest in to lower my taxes?”
- “What investments can I control better?”
- “I am printing my own money by creating derivatives.”
- “This month my cash flow will increase by 5%.”
If you are using these words or similar words on a regular basis, then you are on the Path to Wealth and to being Rich.
The great news for all of us is:
We are in control of our thoughts and our words.
When we change our words from Poor or Average to Rich, then we also change which path our financial life is on. We are adjusting our future.
