A Wealth of Blessings – As Important as a Wealth of Money

Found a little Irish quotation book and found a quote that goes along with our theme of true wealth.  Since it will soon be St. Patrick’s Day, I thought I would share the quote and a few thoughts about my thoughts on true wealth.

True wealth to me is in that quote.  Having  joy, happiness, contentment within and being able to count on that through the tough times is true wealth.  If you have those three embedded within, you really are blessed with a peace that can help you weather the good and the bad.  When I think of these three, I am not thinking of a passing happiness and joy that comes from a moment, but of joy, happiness and contentment that you have banked inside of you.  When you make deposits of gratitude for all things that you are blessed with – the good and the bad—you are able to have quite a bank account of this true wealth.  I have found this to be true these past months.  If I had not started on the path of giving thanks for all before all the “bad” things that have happened to my husband and me, I really think I might have been crushed—even though I have always been a positive person.  Because we had the wealth of these three, we could withdraw from our accounts and again know that after the anger, sadness, changes, etc., etc. we had this wealth that was within to cover the amount of the turmoil and stress and once again bring us back to the positive life.

About Marilyn

I am a "retired senior" (I've been a school librarian and library tech for a government research facility) who is now pursuing a dream of a home business sewing bags of all sorts, crafting and being the creative person I have always wanted to be. I grew up in the center of Illinois and dreamed of actually living back in the state of Colorado where I was born and lived till the age of 7. That dream came true when I met my husband of 43 years while working together in Estes Park. I am interested in alternative medicine, continuing the good health I've always had, while returning to the pre-processed food era of: eating well, losing weight, and using products that do not harm the environment, me, my family and friends. I am for labeling GMO’s, using sustainable products, organics and finding solutions to everyday problems, like colds and sore muscles, using natural remedies. I have a positive attitude that has helped through a very hard year and will bring forth a life that will be full and happy. My family is wonderful and I am a happy lady, wife, mother, and grandma.
